What are Bottom Up Blinds & how do they work?

Bottom up blinds, as the name suggests are blinds which pull up from the bottom of the window. They offer a great solution for rooms which are overlooked allowing you privacy to get on with your day whilst still allowing daylight in through the top of the window.

Classic Bottom Up Range:

They work by housing a specially designed roller blind in a cassette box at the base of the window. Our system is unique in using this cassette box as there are very fine brushes which stop dirt building up on the roller material. The blind is held under constant tension so that when you pull the blind up it stays taught and flat against the window. You operate the blind using cords and pulleys which then tie off wherever required on a cleat.

Perfect Fit Bottom Up Range:

Designed specifically for use on UPVC windows, this solution requires no drilling at all & simply clips onto your window! Some window manufacturers will advise that your warranty is void should you drill into the UPVC frame, so this system completely prevents you needing to dispute this. These clip on bottom up blinds fit within their own 4 sided frame with your roller tube & fabric housed in the bottom section. This is a spring tensioned cord free window blind making it completely child safe by design. We have a number of beautiful fabrics to choose from including dim-out, blackout & sheer fabrics so there is a material suitable for every room in the house.

How do you fit Bottom Up Blinds?

Each of the products in our Bottom Up Blind collection will fit differently.

Firstly our Classic Bottom Up Blind range features a cassette that you fit to either your window sill or wall depending on where you are fitting. This is held in place by a number of clamp brackets. There are also 2 pulley guides which will be screwed to either the top of your recess or wall, again depending on where you are fitting the blind. Each blind is supplied with a cleat to tie of the cord making it completely child safe. The cleat can be fitted to the side of your recess or wall with two screws (included) & the appropriate rawl plugs (not included).



Secondly, our Perfect Fit Bottom Up Blinds are incredibly easy to fit. The first step is to clip & screw together the 4 piece Perfect Fit frame. You then insert one side of the included L shaped brackets between your window glass & the compressible beading that surrounds it, then proceed to push & clip the Perfect Fit frame onto the other end of the bracket.

Every blind from each of our Bottom Up ranges comes with a 12 month warranty.
