By opting to use a vertical blind with sheer fabric you have maximum control over the light entering the room. Fully opening or closing the blinds ie. stacking the vanes to one side, allows you to completely filter the light or let it all in but with a vertical blind you can also partially open the blind to let a little through or simply tilt the vanes to your desired position to allow a little to creep through between each vane. Where to use Sheer Vertical Blinds?

Voile vertical blinds will work beautifully in any room where you wish to let the daylight in. Most commonly they are used in living areas such as lounges, living rooms, dining rooms & kitchens as in most instances you will not require blackout or 100% privacy in these areas. With this being said, you can certainly use them in bedrooms to provide privacy during the day time but you will require another blind (preferably blackout) in addition to your sheer vertical to attain a good night's sleep and to stop the morning sun ruining your well deserved lie in!

Are Sheer Vertical Blinds easy to fit?

Yes they are extremely simple to install. Your blind will come with everything you need to fit. They can be top or face fixed by using the appropriate supplied brackets. When you place your order, simply tell us whether you are top or face fixing and we will supply you with the required brackets. How do I measure for Sheer Vertical Blinds?

Measuring for vertical blinds is easy providing you use a steel tape measure & measure accurately to the nearest millimetre. If you are fitting inside the recess then you will measure wall to wall for the width and top to window sill for the drop. We advise to measure in 3 places - the top, middle & bottom for the width and the left, middle & right for the height, as plastering and skimming will commonly cause your recess not to be as square as you think. In some instances measurements can differ by a number of centimetres! By providing us with the smallest of your three width and drop measurements this will ensure that the blind will fit within the space.

If you are fitting outside of the recess then you should measure the entire space you would like to cover. This measurement will need to include the top head rail so please ensure you add an adequate amount to the height measurement to consider this. It is completely at your discretion as to how much you would like the blind to overlap on the width but as a rule of thumb we advise that it will want to overlap by at least 10cm.
